Vivaldi – The Four Seasons

In 1703 Antonio Vivaldi was appointed maestro di violino at an institution in Venice founded to house and educate illegitimate children, where talented girls received a musical education and often became virtuoso performers. La Serenissima are among the world’s leading exponents of the colourful brilliance of his writing for violin and strings. They present some fascinating but lesser known works alongside his endlessly captivating and popular set of concertos – The Four Seasons.
